e simply could not turn this one away. Its not an M3, its not an Alpina but it did take our breath away. The lady that owns the car is a great friend of one of our very oldest customers. He tipped us off about the car and asked if it was of interest.
To be honest, I was not taking the conversation that seriously until my chum explained that his friend had bought the car brand new from BMW Park Lane, so one owner, the car had only covered 32,000 miles, came with a 100% complete BMW main agent service history and with every single document from new. On hearing all that, I did think we should take a look although I remained cynical.

When she arrived in the car, within seconds of the inspection being started, we knew this was a car we had to find the right home for. It was immediately obvious it was a special car. When seeing the underside condition on a ramp, I asked more about the last 18 years of this car’s life. She explained to me that the car had been garaged from new.

Somebody who will understand just how hard it is to find any E46, even M3s’ with this sort of low mileage and fantastic history. The car is an utter credit to the first owner. The exterior brightwork is still as bright as the day it was new, having suffered little or no UV damage. The paintwork is utterly amazing, with only the tiniest of blemishes, rather more in keeping with a two-year-old car, not an 18-year-old car. The interior is as new with the leather still offering that new car smell. Most importantly, the underside of the car is 100% corrosion free with the structural areas suffering from none of the surface corrosion problems that now afflict nearly all E46 3 series.
