The cars that we so often hear friends saying, “remember when you could buy one of those for the price of a family hack, I should have bought 10 of them when I could”. These were the cars that could be brought for song, on a bit of a whim, and now achieve six figure prices.
Well, the clock is ticking and time is running out. Soon 996 prices will be driven up by a generation of car enthusiasts, who have never known the 911 as an air-cooled brand. This will be the generation whose dads reminisce of two-wheel drive, normally aspirated cars, with a gear-lever and clutch pedal. Those cars that still need driving rather than sitting in a cockpit, on autopilot, being propelled from A - B at warp factor 9 whilst relying on Lane Change Assist.
