We are delighted to have been asked to find a new owner for this very special, brand new, unregistered Mini Cooper RSP.
Rover’s acquisition of the legendary Cooper name, made so renowned by the man himself, John Cooper, gave Rover the opportunity to produce a new Cooper after a 20-year sabbatical. John Cooper himself visited Longbridge to give his opinion on the spec of the new Mini Cooper. Rover Special Products were set the task of producing a limited run of special equipment Mini Coopers carrying the insignia RSP giving a higher, more luxurious level of specification that would not be available on the standard production Coopers.

The Mini Cooper RSPs all came with the 1275 MG Metro engine, bonnet stripes, red bound steering wheel, leather seats and sunroof. 1,650 of these special RSP models were produced and only offered in Flame Red, Black or British Racing Green. Only 1,050 remained in the UK.
This example in British Racing Green is number 948 of the 1,050 UK cars produced.
The car is presented in as new condition with only 40 miles from new. The car is original and correct in every way. Even the original tyres are still fitted. No doubt this is one of only a handful of unmolested brand new Minis left in the world. The underside of the car is truly mind blowing and still as it was delivered 32 years ago. The transit wax on the underside of this car has never been washed off.
